The Vail Valley is a premier golf destination offering several challenging 18-hole and short courses between East Vail and Gypsum. Prime among these are the Vail Golf Club, which overlooks the dramatic Gore Range and Eagle Ranch, an Arnold Palmer Signature Design course in Eagle. The natural stunning beauty, diversity of courses and up to 8,000 feet of elevation make this a special place to golf. Don’t be surprised if you find previously untapped strength: at Vail’s altitude, golf balls fly 10 to 20% further than at sea level. 

Many of the private golf courses are affiliated with local resorts and hotels, so consider staying at properties that offer private golf course benefits. For example, only Sonnenalp hotel guests may reserve the Singletree golf course. All Cordillera Lodge guests can access the private courses of Cordillera. The Beaver Creek Golf Course is available to Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead lodging guests. Check with your hotel or lodge to find out what golf privileges are offered. Most pro shops offer a range of rentals, from basic to cutting edge demos.
